Winch Wen, Swansea – 1st July 07
We had an excellent day, with lots of medals. Everyone without exception, fought out of their skins!
First up was the 10’s and under team. Cory Boyle, Dannie White and Liam Coates were the Budokan team and they were exceptional. I knew we were going to have a good day as soon as they started fighting. They went on to win it with brilliant individual performances and a superb team effort.
Amy Stephens and Maria Cooper were next up, they both fought brilliant and both had bronze medals.
Dannie White was next and he was outstanding. It was the best I’ve seen him fighting yet! He has a lot more to give yet.
Next up was Cory Boyle and Liam Coates, both fought with lots of determination. Liam losing to the winner in the quarter final, Cory went on to get a Bronze.
Last up was Rhian Coates, she fought like a demon! She scored with kicks and punches at will as she wanted to. She was excellent.
